Share a major life lesson
Don’t let other people decide what you can and cannot do. School is big for this, they put you in a box that not everyone fits, leaving some people coming away feeling useless. The world is a changing place where we have information at our fingertips. If you have a goal, set it and don’t stop until you achieve it!
What does balance mean to you
Family time, never neglect time with loved ones. We can all get caught up in daily life and work but every now and then you need to stop and enjoy 😊 We could quite easily have a warehouse and office but we choose to work from home and manipulate our work around our two boys.
Why do you teach?
Seeing and hearing the reactions of students when they achieve results is addictive, in my opinion it is one of the best feelings in the world. There is nothing better than having a part in something that you know has just helped someone.
Long term plans?
Parallel with the newborn photography industry I will continue to expand StandInBaby into the health and education sectors. This will help connect with medical professionals and bring safety knowledge to newborn photography.
What is your specialty
Teaching
What areas do you serve (geographically location)
Internationally
What is the secret to success?
Stepping outside your comfort zone. Like most, I dislike public speaking, I don’t like hearing or seeing myself on television but once you force yourself to push through, it is amazing how opportunities open up. It just works!
Where do you want to be in 5 years?
In 5 years I would loved to have changed safety in the Newborn Photography industry for the better. Safety knowledge will come from the latest information nurses and doctors use and will be readily available for new comers and veterans of the industry at affordable prices. I want the reports we receive of injuries to be a thing of the past.
